Chiffon items and fabrics are considered as a luxury. Chiffon fabric is a sheer see-through and light weight textile. Usually it is used with other fabrics to make dresses, tops, or silk chiffon wedding gowns. Occasion or party dresses and intimate clothing are the most popular of chiffon items.
Chiffon textile fabric has endless color choices. This makes it easy for the designers to achieve their goal creating chiffon items.

Chiffon items normally need some kind of support for garments. Acetate lining, stretch 70 denier interlock lining and fabric fusing are good supports.

Chiffon textile fabric Items with prints opened its way for the casual line of fashion. Floral and animal prints were the most popular designs, creating the best of chiffon items.

Chiffon textile fabric items are produced from different natural or synthetic fibers. You can name, silk or rayon as natural fibers and polyester as synthetic fiber. Polyester chiffon fabric is durable and not difficult to care for. Silk chiffon textile fabric is delicate and mostly used in elegant apparel or intimate chiffon items.

Silk Chiffon items require special care, especially to remove stains from. If followed by the manufacturer suggested care instructions, they will look as new as its first day.

Stains on chiffon textile fabric should not be kept for a long time, even on black color. It’s difficult to remove old stains, plus the risk of damaging the textile fabric. It is not advised to try to remove stains by rubbing a cloth and some water against silk chiffon items. This delicate fabric tends to stretch when is wet. The rubbing action enforced to remove stains with a cloth, will certainly leave a stretch mark after it is dried.

To remove stains from chiffon textile fabric that are not very deep in color or oily, one must act immediately while it is fresh. First put a paper towel behind and on top of the stain. Press on both sides (do not rub) to absorb and remove fresh stains as much as possible. Spray some cold water on the stain. Water will reduce the concentration of the substance causing the stain on the chiffon items. You can repeat the above steps a few times until you are satisfied.

Chiffon items with oily or deep colors stains have to be treated professionally. You can use the above steps only to reduce, but not remove stains as the first aid. Make sure you don't spread the stains while attempting to reduce or removing from the chiffon items.

Dry cleaning chiffon fabric is mostly advised by the manufacturers label attached to the chiffon right items.

Dryers are not recommended to dry polyester chiffon and most sheer fabrics. Chiffon fabrics dry very fast in an open surrounding. Clamps leave marks if used on chiffon items

Hot Ironing chiffon items are strictly not recommended. Polyester and nylon fabrics will immediately stick to the hot iron. Steaming a few inches away, and cold ironing are good choices, with care for your chiffon items. The secret is the way you choose to wash and dry to avoid crinkles and damages.
