Care For 100% Acetate Fabric Lining
Acetate lining textile fabric has to stay away directly from perfumes, nail polish removers (Acetone), alcohol based deodorants, and other organic solvents. Facts show that it will be very difficult or impossible to remove stains caused by these solvents from acetate lining fabric items.
Acetate woven taffeta linings normally don’t shrink in water and dry very fast. The right tips for washing by hand and drying are to use warm water and not to twist dry (avoid stubborn crinkles) acetate based fabrics. It is wise to dry clean clothing with acetate lining, to protect the original garment's textile fabric that may need special care.

Sewing Acetate Textile Fabric Lining

100% Acetate linings textile fabrics need more attention for sewing. You have to plan ahead. After sewing, if you decide to separate the linings and sew again, unwanted pin holes will show. Pin hole marks are difficult to remove from acetate fabric items.
